TAMING THE FRIZZY HAIR

Curly hair sure does look amazing and makes those who don’t have such curls go green with envy. But what about those not-so-pretty-frizzy-flyaways you get when they are brushed? Frizz can become a very agonizing problem if you don’t know how to deal with it. Go through our blog to know some tips to help you tame your frizzy hair.

No shampooing everyday

The very first thing you need to do is to stop using shampoo on your hair everyday. Curly and wavy hair require hair’s natural oils to lessen the frizz. Shampooing only three times a week would be good enough.

Conditioning is a must

Moisturizing your curls regularly, with a rich-moisturizing conditioner is the key to make them happy and bouncy. After you are done with the shampoo, apply the conditioner, covering each strand from root to tip and let it sit for atleast two minutes. Use a wide-toothed comb to evenly distribute the conditioner through out your hair. A deep conditioning treatment, once a week, can help in reducing the frizz a lot.

Finish your hair cleansing routine with cool water

This may not sound like a fun idea, especially in the harsh winters, but experts say that a cool water rinse at the end of your shower helps in reducing the usual frizz. Cool water seals the hair cuticle, thus adding shine and making hair look less poufy.

No vigorous towel-drying

Avoid rubbing your hair dry using a towel as this creates friction, resulting in split ends and more frizz. Squeeze your hair gently with your hands to rinse out as

much water as you can in the shower. Afterwards, gently pat the towel on your hair.

No blow-dryer, only air drying

Experts suggest that blow-drying your strands and tips should be avoided. Just blow dry the roots to give your hair a lift. A hooded dryer or a diffuser is alright too. However, air drying is the best option.

No brushing, only combing

Never ever use a brush on curly hair, especially when they are dried. Use a wide- toothed comb or your fingers to separate your curls.

Go easy on heat appliances

Heat from hair tools such as blow-dryer, curling iron, flat iron etc damages your hair, causing more frizz. Try to lessen their use as much as you can. If the styling is necessary, then don’t forget to apply a protective heat serum beforehand.

Hot Oils treatment

Pamper your curls by treating them to a hot oil treatment atleast once a week. This will prevent dryness and lessen their porosity.

Try to follow these fail-safe tips regularly and you will see that this frizz will become a thing of your past in no time.
